Winner of the European Powerboat of the Year 2024

We did it again! This year, the Marex 440 Gourmet Cruiser won the prestigious European Powerboat of the Year 2014 award in the “Powerboats up to 14 m” category.

This year, the European Powerboat of the Year took part for the 18th time. The expert jury consists of the editors-in-chief and sea trial journalists from the eight leading European motorboat media from Norway (Båtliv), Italy (Boatmag.it), France (Neptune), the Netherlands (Motorboat), Spain (Nautica y Yates), Switzerland (Marina.ch), Austria (Yachtrevue) and Germany (BOATS).

Choosing the best of the best in the motorboat industry is an exciting process. The jury tested more than 250 new boat models to declare the winners. In addition to the usual quality features of a boat, such as workmanship or driving characteristics, the jury pays particular attention to the candidates’ space layout, safety and price-performance ratio. Implementing innovative ideas and concepts can also be crucial when each boat receives voting points.

The jury committee said, “The Marex 440 Gourmet Cruiser is perfectly designed and carefully thought out. It also demonstrates the Norwegian shipyard’s many years of experience in shipbuilding. The 440 can be considered a benchmark in this class of boats with no equal.”

The renowned prizes were presented in a celebratory ceremony at the traditional FLAGSHIP NIGHT, the big industry meeting organised by Delius Klasing Publishing House, German magazine Boote and boot Düsseldorf.
